We went to bed at around 10 pm last night, and I barely managed to drag myself out of bed at 11:10 am, an hour and ten minutes after my alarm had initially gone off. I managed to grab coffee on the way to the barn (which I left in the car, lest Whisper knock it over again) and I think I had Whisper saddled by noon. I was supposed to have him saddled and warmed up, ready to go by noon, but we make do with what we’ve got.
We worked on turns with lateral aids, which I think we mostly got by the end of the session. We also worked on transitions. Every time I looked down at my hands water ran off my helmet. I’m pretty sure I was out there for an hour and a half in the rain, and the arena was dry enough to have jumped! Unfortunately, Whisper hasn’t been ridden in a week, so for safety we did not jump.
Next time I will wake up early enough to remember the camera.
