When I mentioned that I don’t do Christmas, I’m not sure if I really stressed why I don’t like to get gifts: because I get stuff all of the time. For my new year’s present, I got a fabulous new serger (or overlock) machine. It came with two “get to know your machine” classes, and Tuesday was the second of two. I also get 3 years of “serger club” where they teach techniques and projects. This is the second machine we’ve bought from Eddie’s Quilting Bee, and I am very happy with my service. Here’s the machine in class:
I tried to make a shirt before I went to the classes, but I think the “first try” shirt is destined for the rubbish bin. Even with sergers, wovens are easier to use.
