what I did this summer

October 3, 2011

Wow.  I’ve missed a whole summer worth of posts!  Here’s a quick list of what I wish I had time to write about:

  • Bought Monty (the horse)
  • Got all kinds of horse stuff
  • Whisper had a dramatic eye injury and drama with his foot.
  • Whisper got better and went to a few dressage shows
  • I drove a trailer full of horses to the Christiane Noelting Dressage Center
  • Got on the Dean’s list for Spring Semester!
  • summer school: I took a serger class – I feel much more confident now (got an A)
  • summer school: I took Fashion Entrepreneurship – totally stressed me out. (got an A)
  • summer school: Didn’t take Copying Ready-to-Wear.  Oh well.
  • We took a week long vacation and drove up to Ashland/Portland/Seattle
  • We saw the Pirates of Penance in Ashland
  • I saw the H.M.S. Pinafore with the costume I helped make.
  • We saw Sense and Sensibility
  • I saw a Mariners game.
  • much fabric was purchased
  • Rob got a promotion – thank you TiVo!
  • fall semester 3 unit classes: taking Techniques of Fit, History of Fashion, Tailoring
  • probably going to drop Tailoring – not feeling like I have time to really enjoy it.
  • fall semester 1 unit classes: Lingerie and Intro to the Costume Industry – done!
  • was a model for the Designer Showcase at the Artistry in Fashion sale
  • I knitted a cardigan
  • The time period for my 101in1001 elapsed on 9/29.  I started a new 101in1001 project 9/30.  Post to follow.

Hopefully this will break my writers block and I’ll be writing again this week.  See you soon!
